The heart of Saskatchewan’s agricultural success
The Saskatoon Region is at the heart of Saskatchewan’s agricultural success, helping to feed the world with an abundance of raw and processed agri-food products.
As Canada’s largest exporter of agri-food products, the Region produces over two-fifths of the world’s durum wheat exports, one-third of the world’s peas and oats, and more than half of the world’s lentils.
Surrounded by vast prairie landscapes and home to a large portion of the country’s cultivated farmland, the Saskatoon Region thrives on some of the healthiest soils in North America, making it a key contributor to global food security.
